Blackwater Lake Band

Cheech Carbone was born in Rochester NY. He first became interested in drumming at the age of 8. His older brother was a drummer which played a big part in fueling his desire to learn to play. He took five years of formal lessons. Where he learned jazz, swing and rock style drumming. He also was taught other percussion instruments such as xylophone and marimba. His instructor was a prominent drummer and swing band leader Carl Dengler. Carl was unique in the fact that he was blind. He would amaze, inspire and encourage Cheech at every lesson. Cheech was a drummer for a few garage and club bands in NY and Arizona. He moved to Arizona in 1991 with a guitarist and former band mate. His most recent playing before joining Blackwater has been as a worship team member at the Calvary chapel that he attends. He enjoys using the talents that God has blessed him with to worship Him.

Micky Scott is a bassist/backing vocalist that started playing in Buffalo, NY in 1980 at the tender age of 16.

After decades of playing hard rock in clubs, on small tours and co-founding 2 of Buffalo's biggest bands, Micky moved to Arizona in 2012 to try something new.

As a member of Blackwater Lake, Micky has begun a new chapter in his musical life and will bring his passion for music to a new audience.
